Froh Family Christmas - Take 1

Morning -
With our family growing in so many differnet directions, it can get hard to get together with everyone over the holiday season. So, in an effort to not make the holidays too nuts, we decided to break things up a bit. This past weekend was filled with celebrations! Friday night we got together with the Jochmans and the Castillos for snacks, drinks, gifts, and laughs! Saturday we headed to our niece Ceanna's 3rd birthday party!

Happy Birthday Ceanna!

After a few hours at her party we had to jet to Maddie's first Christmas experience. My parents hosted Christmas with my moms side of the family and we had a great time. Maddie was a complete ham like usual which kept us all laughing!
Maddie opening up a book - one of her favorite things!
She loved the tissue paper!!

We couldnt resist!

After Maddie opened up her presents I wanted to wrap everything back up and have her open it again. Seeing the excitement in her eyes was something that I will never forget. Christmas has such a new meaning to us that there are no words to describe it. Luckily for us, we still have 3 more Christmas festivities planned. . . . . .so this past weekend was just the start!

Have a good week!

A blur. . .

Wow, last week and the start of this one have been a blur for me! With Pat being out of town last week I definately had my hands full. And when do we get our first "official" snowfall. . .when he is gone - go figure! Maddie and I spent A LOT of time indoors, but we survived! (Thanks to the moms for your help!!) We were happy to have Pat home though!

So happy to have daddy home!

We are up to 6 teeth and counting. . . .

After a few errands with mom and dad, Maddie is out! She is not a fan of wearing her jacket - can you tell why? Poor thing can barely move!

Over the weekend we needed to get caught up on things, but we also got to enjoy my first YMCA Christmas Party! As the new kid on the block I decided it would be a good idea to go! I am so glad that we did , we had a great time! And Maddie got some new babysitters - Aunt Kari and Uncle Ryan! They did a great job!

We came home to a sleeping baby - nice work guys!

As the holidays are quickly approaching Pat and I are going to do everything in our power to kick back and take it all in. We dont want it to go by too quickly (easier said than done), but this Christmas is so important to us!

Who needs toys for Christmas when you can play with paper!

Another busy weekend awaits, but it is filled with Christmas events for us, so it should be a good time. Saturday Maddie will have her first taste of opening Christmas presents, I cant wait!!! We will have lots of pictures to share!

Take Care!

Rough Start. . . . Perfect Ending. . . .

Hi -

Well, this past week has sure had its up and downs! Maddie caught a little flu bug last weekend so the start of last week was not the best for us. Last Monday when we got Maddie up in the morning she was covered head to toe in a terrible rash. Thank goodness we had her 9 month check up scheduled for that morning! The rash was a viral rash from the flu - never heard of that before! So, she was a greased little pig morning, noon, and night to get that cleared up! The Dr appt went well! Here are the updated stats on Miss Maddie -

Weight 17lbs 6oz - 23 percentile

Height - 27 3/4in - 55 percentile
Head - 44.7cm - 70 percentile

As the week progressed we could start to see that fire and energy return which was great!!! We even got to have a playdate with one of Maddie's friends Keegan!

Friday afternoon evening we hit yet another brick wall. . . .Maddie developed a terrible rash on her bottom that left her in a lot of pain! We got her meds, gave her lots of bath time, and of course TLC! Saturday morning she was up and ready to rock and roll!! That is what we were hoping for as we had the big Froh Christmas to attend! It was wonderful to spend time with so many of our family members. This gathering was the first time many people got to see Maddie in person! What a perfect ending to the weekend. . . .

Cousin Katie from TX and Maddie

Maddie and Logan - they liked one another!

Even Santa came to the party. . .Maddie didnt know what to think of him!

She liked Mrs Clause though!

This is what happens when you party to hard. . . .you crash!

With Pat out of town this week for work. . .and the blizzard of 09' headed our way, Im sure we will have plenty of interesting things to report!

So Much to be Thankful for. . .

Morning -

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone already and we have so much to be thankful for! First and foremost, our beautiful daughter Maddie! She brings so much joy to our lives that there are no words to describe it. Our long weekend was spent being thankful for so many things in our lives.

Here is Maddie on the go like usual!

We were able to be surrounded by an abundance of family!

Maddie and Uncle Ryan hanging out

Maddie with Great Grandpa and Grandma

Maddie with her cousin Briella

Maddie ate SO much food on Thanksgiving that I dont even know where to begin! She had stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, strawberry fluff, bread, green bean casserole, and dessert. . . .

Hmm, now what do we have here?

Not too bad, I think I will keep going. . .

This is great, can you get me more whip cream though? And she got some too. . .

Finger lickin' good!

Our weekend wrapped up with some time spent with friends celebrating the arrival of their baby girl in 2 short months! While we were at their shower we had a chance to meet Maddie's prom date Grant for the first time - what a little peanut!!!

Today is Maddie's 9 month check up at the Dr, so we will see where she measures up now! That girl is getting so big!!
I will have more to update later this week. . . .take care!

Happy 9 Month Birthday!

In a blink of an eye Maddie is already 9 months old, can you believe it! We have her 9 month photo shoot scheduled with our favorite photographers (The Spottswoods) so Pat took the day off and we are going to spend it as a family! I am looking forward to a day of doing whatever the heck we want!!
I feel as if Maddie has changed so much over the past month that I cant seem to remember everything, but I will give it my best shot!

Likes at 9 Months. . . . .
1) Eating - this girl continues to eat anything and everything we give her. If she sees Pat and I put something in our mouth, she needs to try it too. Some of her favorites include - Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, toast, pudding, etc etc. . .I could go on and on!
2) Crawling anywhere and everywhere - she is a quick one!

3) Pulling herself up on furniture and pulling herself up to a standing position in her crib. Gosh, whats next? Well. . .we know whats next. . .yikes!

Dislikes at 9 Months. . . . . .

1) Sitting still. . . .she wants to move move move!!!

2) Napping - STILL! But, I must admit, this is starting to get a tad better. And yes, she still naps in her swing. I will do whatever it takes to get her to catch a few ZZZZ's! And I checked the weight limit, we are still good!

We have been on the go a lot lately but doing what we can to take a step back and savor the moment as much as possible! I am anxious for Maddie's first Thanksgiving as she will be going crazy over all of the food that she can sample!!

Here are some recent shots of her. . ..

Rolling around in the basement acting goofy!

Eating mashed potatoes with her fingers!

Forget my fingers, I will just dump them in my mouth!

Continues to roll everywhere in her crib!

The eve before opening day. . . .she had to show her support to her daddy the hunter!

We would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Turkey Day!

Pat, Jamie, and Maddie
