Christmas and Baby

Its hard to believe that Christmas is just a few short days away.  It appears that we will have a White Christmas considering I cant see across the street right now!  With Maddie's fun age and more time to prepare, it has been so much fun preparing for the holidays this year.  We had approximately 8 days to move in, unpack, decorate, and celebrate last year. . . .this year is a totally different situation.  Pat and Maddie had the tree up BEFORE Christmas and our shopping and wrapping has been done for weeks.  It is a wonderful feeling!

We even added a second Christmas tree to the mix this year since we have the space to do so.  Mom and dad brought over Grandma T's tree for us to have in the basement.  When I went to dig out some ornaments, I came across a box of Hallmark Ornaments that Grandma got for me over the years and a note. . . .

It has also been a blessing getting the new baby's room ready.  Going through all of those items again is a lot of fun!  Maddie talks about her "baby sister" all the time and is getting rather excited now that she can see my belly move.

This Christmas has been so much fun and it hasnt even started yet!  I love watching the excitement with Maddie because she is at such a fun age!  We start our celebrations this Saturday and are looking forward to it!!

WOW --- Where have we been!

As many may have noticed we had a little bit of a delay on getting a new post put up on the blog. Well I guess you can say we have been a tad busy lately. Since the last posting which was Maddie's graduation from her school at the YMCA there have been a few things that have taken place.

*Maddie started the next school year class at the Y
*Maddie started Spanish class at the Y and knows how to say all of her colors and other objects
*Mom and Dad went on vacation to Huatulco, Mexico - Most amazing place ever
*The three of us and Uncle Eric went to Disney World in Florida to visit Nana & Papa
*Maddie loved Disney, the tea cups, the roller coasters, and listening to Nana scream....
*Maddie has transitioned into a big girl room and big girl bed
*We have been slowly continuing to decorate our new house
*12/16 marks 1 year that we have been in our house
* Oh.... And We are having another BABY!!!!!

Other than that not much else has been going on on our side. Jamie and the baby are doing well. Baby will be here some time around April. Maddie and I are excited and cant wait to see if the baby is a boy or a girl... Maddie keeps saying its a girl and that her name is Suzy.. So ... we all will wait and see.

Its hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. Many prayers and thoughts of love go out to our family and friends. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Love,
Dad
