8 Months Old!!

What a beautiful Fall weekend!! We spent Thursday through Sunday enjoying time together as well as with some friends - it was a perfect weekend for us! I know I say this each time we hit a new month, but it doesn't seem possible that Maddie is 8 months old already! We had her at the Dr last week so I am going to guess that her weight is right around 17lbs right now. She eats like a tropper, but also plays like one and burns it all off!

Favorite things to do. . .
1) Eating table food! We have been giving her new things to try and she is loving it. She has had noodles, jello, pudding, pizza, beans, apple pie. . . .the list goes on! She is definately Pat's child when it coms to eating - she eats anything you give her!

2) Swimming. . .she loves it! We have been trying to take her every week or every other week to the Y to swim and she is a fish already! Imagine that. . .mom and dad are the same way!

3) Crawling. . . .well the belly drag as I like to call it!

4) Her new thing. . . .sniffing like a rabbit and making the biggest cheese ball smile possible (lots of gum)

5) LOTS of play time. . . .still doesnt like to nap. She is like the energizer bunny!

Here are some pictures from our wonderful weekend. . . .

A quick and chilly trip to the pumpkin patch!

Pat raked the leaves and we played in them!

Remember last years pumpkins. . . .

Pat's big idea. . .stuffing Maddie in a pumpkin!!!

We wrapped up the weekend with a trip to the Y!

More to come. . .

Time to Baby-proof!

Hi all -
It has been awhile since I have been able to get on here and update everyone with what has been going on with us. The last 3 weeks have been a blur! First Pat was gone traveling for work (and thats when Maddie starting the breathing problems), then the next week the breathing problems continued, and then I ended up working quite a few days in a row at the Y. BUT. . .I have the next 4 days off and I couldn't be more excited!
Here is an update on Miss Maddie! We took her to a Pedicatric ENT at Childrens because they breathing problems continued. While we were there he checked her out and watched the video Pat was able to capture of her having the breathing problems. Based on the video, he didnt think that she was in any respiratory distress. So. . .after explaining everything to him, he decided to put us on zantac for reflux with the thought that acid is getting into her throat. These "episodes" always took place when she was laying down, so that is why he is thinking sever reflux. Well, that was last Thursday and I am happy to report that she hasnt had an episode since! Thank goodness! If all continues to go well, then we keep her on this for awhile. If she does have another episode we have an appointment scheduled for Oct 29th to have her scoped. I hope and pray that we dont have to do that!
In the mean time, Pat and I have been having so much fun with our energentic daughter! She manages to pull out a new trick, noise, or facial expression for us every day! With how busy things have been lately, I have not had a chance to take many new pictures of her. BUT. . . .I did manage to catch her doing this the other day while I ran to the kitchen to stir our lunch. . . .

BUSTED!!!!!!

I was literally gone for 30 seconds and she took off! The funny thing is that she hasn't mastered crawling yet, so she either rolled all the way over there, did the belly drag, and crawled and didnt want me to see! Little stinker. . . .who does she get that from???

Well, a fun couple of days are ahead of us, so I will have some pictures to share soon! Pat also has a big plan up his sleeve. . .stay tuned for that!

Have a great weekend!

Busy Busy Busy

Wow, has it really been 2 weeks since I have updated the blog? Oops. . .oh well, that is bound to happen when life gets a little busy. We were out of town 2 weekends ago in Horicon to spend some time with family. Here are a few shots of little Miss Maddie. . . .

A few new outfits wrapped up. . . .a small preview of what Christmas will be like.

Smile for mom!

She doesnt sit still for anyone. . .this kid wants to go go go!!!

Fish Fry at the John's house! Maddie was decked out in he Badger gear!

Last week was rather nuts! Maddie was having some problems breathing starting on Monday night. To make matters even crazier, Pat was in KY for work! I had some assistance from the grandmas, but it was a long and scary week for us. Maddie got to experience her first X-rays . . .boy was that interesting? How do you keep a 7 month old still for X-rays? It was interesting to say the least. We are not sure what caused all of the breathing issues, but we are happy to report that she is doing well now. It was a low key weekend for us so that we could keep an eye on her.

Big gum filled smile!

Another milestone - eating her little puffs. She LOVES them!

Our little cutie - love this picture!

This week will be spent getting everyone back on track due to a strange week last week! I hope everyone has a good week - stay warm!
