Watch Out Michael Phelps!

Maddie loves her bath time. The only time she doesn't like bath time is when she is out of the water. As you can see from the video we have a little fish on our hands. So Michael Phelps watch out we may have a new Olympic record breaker on our hands here.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Hi everyone!!

This past weekend was my dads birthday and it was sure a busy few days for us! Before the weekend hit, mom and I enjoyd a lot of time outside since it was so warm out. . . .it hit 84 a few days. I think that mom was excited to finally put me in a few dresses! :)

My first dress . . .mom took SO many pictures!

This is my serious face when mom knows to stop with the pictures!

Another hot day = another dress!

This past Saturday mom and dad had a wedding to go to for their friend Andy. I know that they missed me like crazy, but it was nice for them to enjoy some adult time with each other, as well as their friends. While they were at the wedding, Nana and Papa Froh got to babysit me!

Sunday was dads birthday . . . .mom decided to take him golfing. I have only heard bits and pieces, but it doesnt sound like she did too well. Her, Dad, Uncle Ryan, and Aunt Kari all went - sounds like trouble to me!! I got to stay by Grandma and Grandpa Tamminga while they were all golfing!

Mom and Dad golfing!

After that we headed back to Milwaukee to enjoy a low key cookout with a few friends. . . .I napped! What can I say, it was a busy few days and I needed some rest!

It has been a busy few weeks around here lately! I am growing like crazy! Mom has been packing away all of my 0-3month clothing because it doesnt fit me anymore! I am looking forward to all of the 3-6 month stuff I have to wear! ( Mom is too ) I decided to give mom and dad a break and sleep through the night. . . they are really excited about that!

I think that is all I know for now!
Love,
Maddie!

Bring on the summer!

Well, Memorial Day has come and gone and I feel like that means summer is officially here! Thank goodness, this Froh family needs it! It has been a long couple of weeks for us (as you can tell by no updates), but I must say that things are on the up and up for us. For those of you that don't know, I will be staying home with Maddie. At my previous job at Bradley I was a traveling sales rep covering the west coast. Currently my peers are on the road 3-4 weeks out of the month and that is something that I couldnt dedicate myself to after having Maddie. It was definately a bitter sweet feeling making that decision, but she is #1 in my life, and I would miss out on way too many things if I was gone that long. It feels official now because I went into Bradley yesterday to turn all of my things in as well as clean out my desk. I was laying on the floor playing with Maddie this morning and realized that a lot of things are going to be different now.

1) Running to catch an early flight vs Early morning feedings

2) Carry on luggage vs diaper bag

3) 4 inch heels and dress clothes vs Tennis shoes and T-shirts

4) Gross margins and profits vs Maddie's milestones (holding up head, talking, etc)

5) Crazy CA traffic vs Slow pace stroller rides

6) 40-55hr work weeks vs 24/7

All and all, this is the best decision for our family and I couldnt be more excited. I get the opportunity to teach and mold my daughter all day every day. I traded in my old job for a much harder job though. But at the end of the day, this is the most rewarding job of all. I am rewarded with smiles, giggles, hugs, and love.

I get the opportunity to wake up and see this beautiful smile every day. . . . .

More pictures and updates to come later today . . .I am currently uploading lots of fun pictures!

Love,
Jamie

I have a problem. . . .

I cant seem to ever put my camera down!! There are days that Pat will come home from work and I will have managed to take about 35 pictures of Maddie! In an effort not to eat up all of our hard drive, I do delete some! It is hard to when she is so much fun to take pictures of. We will be investing in an external hard drive pretty quick here! As I sit and scroll through all of these, I cant help but have the biggest smile on my face. This little girl has brought so much joy to my life that there are not words to describe it. Sure, there are days when she wants to be a diva and give me a hard time, but one smile or giggle makes me forget about anything frustrating that took place. She is a gift. . . .enough said!

A visit with Maddie's friends Keegan and Ella!
How can you not smile looking at that beautiful girl?

Papa and his Froh girls!

My fashionable "Little Lady" - thanks to Aunt Kari!

And Maddie insisted on wearing the Little Lady onesie too!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend! The three of us are staying in Milwaukee and enjoying some family time together!!!!

Love,
Jamie

My 1st Mother's Day

I finally got to celebrate my very first Mother's Day! We spent the weekend in Horicon to celebrate with our moms, but Pat and Maddie had specific orders that we needed to be on the road by 1pm! Well, we came close to that. . .we were on the road at 1:45! I wasn't sure what to really expect, but regardless, spending time with my two favorite people is always a good time. After the fastest unloading possible, Pat, Maddie, and I snuggled up to watch Bride Wars together! They must have been listening the past few weeks because they got the hint that I wanted to see it. When the movie was over, Maddie and I laid on the couch together while Pat cooked me dinner. This may have been one of the most delicious meals ever! I always knew my husband could cook, but this was more than I could have ever imagined! We had a thick buttery piece of halibut with a sherry cream sauce over the top, grilled asparagus, and a glass of wine! He out did himself this time!

Besides dinner and a movie, Maddie and Pat also got me a gift. They got me a large picture frame collage that has a saying about family in the middle of it. This gift brought such a huge smile to my face. . . .Family. . . .it has a new meaning to me. It is such a rewarding and wonderful feeling to know that Pat, Maddie, and I are a family. Today, and every day, I celebrate my new title . . . Mom. . . .and thank God for blessing us with Maddie. February 25th marks one of the happiest days of my life as we became a family of 3!!

Our little Maddie had her baptism this past Sunday! Pat and I couldnt have asked for things to go better. Beautiful weather, generous family, a nice church service, and a happy baby! Maddie was wearing the dress and wrapped in the blanket that I wore 27 years ago.
