Hello Rice Krispies!

So the docotor told Jamie at the 4 month check up that we get to start introducing rice cereal to Maddie's diet. Jamie comes home and tells me that and of course I truly dont have a clue as to what that means. So I ask Jamie she can start having rice cereal....like Rice Krispies?

So after laughing uncontrollably for a while she finally explains to me that it is something completely different. Well today was the day that Maddie and Dad were introduced to rice cereal. Maddie ate it while Dad video taped and Mom fed her. Here is the video from Maddie's first experience with Rice Krispies :) can you say "Hey Mikey, I think she likes it"...

Teacher VS Student

Some days I don't know who the teacher is and who the student is. Maddie teaches us so many things and I know we try to teach her as much as we can as well. Jamie is awesome with teaching Maddie the motions of sitting up, pushing herself up on her tummy, and reading books. On the flip side of things I know that Maddie is teaching Jamie to smile more and to really take a step back and just look at how far we have come. It is amazing that we have been blessed with this beautiful little girl. I think it is even more amazing that I have been blessed with these TWO BEAUTIFUL PRESENTS. There was a time in my life that I couldn't imagine my life with out Jamie. NOW I can't imagine my life without either of my ANGELS. My hope is that I can be all that they imagine me to be. I love my girls and I am so excited for the future and when we can be blessed to give Maddie a sibling to play with. Isn't she beautiful...

4 Months Old Already. . . .

Where the heck has the time gone? It is so hard to believe that she was just a little peanut in my belly at this time last year! I took Maddie to her 4 month check-up on Wednesday and she was a trooper like usual. I was anxious to have her weighed since it has been 2 months since she has been to the Dr. She is now tipping the scales at 13lbs 8oz and measures 24 1/2in long! My baby girl is growing so much. This check-up also had shots on the agenda that I was not excited about. At her 2 month appt, I made Pat come with me for support! Well, this time I was flying solo. I had to be the one that held her arms down and watched tears well up in her eyes. . . .NOT FUN! But, on the flip side, I was also the one that got to scoop her up in my arms and comfort her when it was all done and over with. Her check-up went great!

With the reality of 4 months hitting, I have taken some time to reflect on how different things are now. I couldn't imagine my life without Maddie in it. . . she has changed my life more than I could have ever imagined . . .for the good of course! Pat and I were always flying by the seat of our pants, and we loved it, but now life has slowed down a bit. We enjoy sitting on a blanket in our backyard watching Maddie try to figure everything out. Trips, festivals, holidays, and seasons are all "firsts" again . . . . .they are firsts for the Froh family of 3. These past 4 months has been filled with a variety of emotions, but most importantly - love. As I sit here and write this post, I am watching Maddie napping in her swing and I cant help but well up with tears and smile looking at her. The love that I feel for this little girl cannot be put into words. She has filled a space in our lives that we didnt know exsisted. Ever since her arrival, a lot of things have become clearer to Pat and I. . . .and we thank God every day that he blessed us with this miracle.

Happy Fathers Day!

Good Morning!

I wanted to make sure that Pat's first Fathers Day was special, so I did everything I could to make sure we spent the day doing the things that he enjoys doing! We started the day off with a quick stop at Starbucks for some yummy coffee! After we got our morning fix, we headed off to the zoo! Pat didnt have a clue what Maddie and I had planned so it was fun to surprise him. We spent about 4 hours at the zoo and had a wondeful time! After the zoo, we headed home to watch the Brewers game as a family. . .I hate to report that they lost 3-2! Oh well, we were on the floor playing and laughing with Maddie more than we were watching the game anyway. After the game was over with, we decide to get a little exercise and take Maddie on a walk! (Not like we didnt do enough of that at the zoo-oh well!) When we got home from our walk I needed to start prepping dinner. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to make Pat on his special day. After careful consideration, I decided that we were going to do "inside out bacon cheeseburgers" on the grill! Pat LOVES to grill so I thought that it would be a great ending to our day! They were fantastic! So, Starbucks, Zoo, Brewers, Walk, and Grilling out. . . .my husbands favorite things! It was a special day that neither of us will forget!

Pat, inbetween all of Maddie's giggles, coos, and jibber jabber, she is really trying to say - Thank you Daddy! Getting to know you over the past 4 months has been fantastic. I am so lucky to have such a self-less father like yourself. I know that you will do whatever it takes to make sure that I am well taken care of, and I appreciate that. I love you dad!
Now, in my opinion, Pat is an amazing father to Maddie! I could not have asked for a more patient and willing individual to have on my team. It is so much fun to watch him light up when Maddie flashes a smile at him. You are an amazing father to Maddie and I cant wait to add to our bunch. . . .at some point! Thank you for all that you do each ane every day!

Happy Fathers Day to all of the dads out there, especially Pat, Steve (my dad), and Jim (Pat's Dad)!

Love,
Jamie

What a weekend. . . .

It has been awhile since I have been able to get on here to post an update on how things are going at the Froh household! Maddie and I are finally getting the opportunity to spend some quality time outside now that the weather is warming up nicely! That means we are onto a lot of our short sleeved outfits - I am so excited!!!

Pat came home to fnd Maddie in a new onesie. . . .compliments of Auntie Jill. . . .all of a sudden I hear, "Maddie, what the heck did your mommy dress you in today? We are going to have to talk about you dating rockstars little girl!" It was cute!

Saturday we had 2 graduation parties to hit . . .and after our arrival to party #1, I could tell it was not going to be one of our finest days! Maddie missed her nap and was just not herself at all. She continued to be fussy and rather warm all day, we knew something was up! Our second party was for Uncle Ryan and Maddie slept. . .ate . . .and cuddled with Pat and I. She likes to cuddle and all, but she was rather out of sorts! We got her to go to bed and crossed our fingers that she would feel better on Sunday. . . .for her pictures! Well, she was in a good mood, but didnt really want to produce many smiles! We ended the session and got our little peanut home to determine she had a fever. More naps and snuggles were in store for Sunday as well! With the way she has been acting, there is chance that she is starting the teething process already!!! I was a little nervous about how her pictures turned out, but the Spottswoods pulled through and got us some wonderful pictures and memories!

After pictures, Maddie had to show off a bit how she can hold her own bottle!

She crashed hard when we got home on Sunday!

Yesterday proved to be a better day. We hung out in our pjs all morning and then enjoyed the sunshine with a lot of smiles and giggles out of my happy little girl!

Enjoying the summer weather in the afternoon!

Smiles for dad on his lunch break!

That is all we know for now. . .just enjoying some much needed time together with the beautiful weather we have been having!

Jamie

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Morning -

Well, we had a fantastic time in the Dells this weekend with my family. We were there celebrating my mom's 50th birthday! (Dont worry mom, you dont look a day over 35!) It would have been nice if the weather could have been a little warmer on Saturday, but we still had a great time! Maddie was such a good baby . . .she couldnt have been better! We werent sure what she would think of the indoor waterpark, but she loved it. The loud kids, the splashing, and the water didnt bother her one bit! Pat and I both agreed that we need to arrange for a hotel stay/pool visit in the near future. Here are some pictures from our weekend!

Grandma and Maddie poolside

Maddie's first taste of the pool, she didnt know what to think at first!

All of this swimming makes Maddie a tired girl!

Maddie and dad at the waterpark!

What a cutie in her suit Grandpa picked out for her!

Drying off after lots of swimming!

Relaxing Weekend

Hi -

Well, it was so nice for us to kick back this weekend and enjoy time at home. We didnt have to worry about packing up our stuff and heading out which was nice. What did we do with a weekend off - NOTHING!!!! We honestly sat around and watchd the Brewers all weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!! With all three of us fighting a cold, a little relaxation is just what we needed.

You cant watch Brewer games unless you are properly dressed!

Maddie didnt think too much of her sunhat - but I insisted!

My two favorite Brewer fans!

Practicing her fist pump like Grandma Tammi does!

It will be a low key week this week and we get ready for our trip to the Dells! I plan to take LOTS of pictures and videos of Maddie at her first waterpark! We are going there to celebrate Grandma Tammi's 40th birthday. . . .kidding, she is turning the big 50!!! It will be a great time!

Love,

Jamie
