2 Month Update

Well, it has been awhile since I have been able to give an update on what is going on in the Froh household!! I got the mail in about 2 weeks ago and came across our bill for Miss Maddie. . . .I didnt know what to think, but one thing stood out for me! $85 for my epidural - WELL WORTH IT! The entire bill is well worth it, but I was expecting an epidural to be more $$!

The weather has been hit or miss lately, but Maddie and I have been doing everything we can to get outside as much as possible. Our 3 mile walk really did a number on her - she was pooped out!

Yesterday was Maddie's big 2 month checkup at the Dr's office. I knew that it would be tough to watch her get shots so I made Pat come with me. . . .whose the baby - me or Maddie? Her appointment went really well. She is now 10lbs 12oz and 22in long!!! Our little girl is getting bigger and bigger! The moment came for the shots and Maddie was great. She let out a good scream, but then Pat scooped her up and got her to calm down right away. Oh. . .and I was a trooper too-no tears!

Bugs Bunny Band-Aids for her Boo-Boos!

Still a happy and playful baby!

Maddie has been very snuggly today!

Pat and I have learned a lot over the past 2 months. Madeline is really starting to show her personality more and more each day. Here are a few characteristics that we can tell already.

1) When she is hungry, she wants to be fed NOW - Takes after Dad

2) She loves to be warm and wrapped in blankets - Takes after Mom

3) Maddie LOVES her swing when it really rocks her, must be a thrill seeker - Takes after Mom

4) She is a goof and loves to babble with Pat - Takes after Dad

5) She can be rather sassy from time to time - Takes after us both!!

It has been an amazing 2 months watching her grow into this little person. People have told us that the way you feel towards your child cannot be put into words. . . . .they were all so right. I knew that I would love our little peanut, but words cant describe how I feel about her. I get to wake up every morning and see this beautiful smile. . . . .

Life doesnt get much better than this! We count our blessings every day for such a wonderful addition to our lives.

Love,

Jamie

Maddie Tells a Short Story!

I tried to catch Maddie as she was playing on her play mat. I could only catch her with my cell phone so the quality isn't that great and it is sideways. So tilt your head and enjoy Maddie's story.

Love,

Dad

Spring is here!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday!!!

What beautiful weather we have been having! (FINALLY) In honor of spring finally arriving, I had to share with you a picture of our little flower!

If Maddie could talk, she would be saying, "Mom, what the heck are you doing to me?" My response to that would be, "Get used to it peanut, I have a lot of years ahead of me to put you in silly things!" Maddie got this headband from her friends Tillie and Mary! Ironically, they are coming over tonight to meet for the first time, I cant wait!

Since it has been so nice outside, we have been taking the opportunity to go for LOTS of walks! With the weather in the 60's I dont have to worry so much about her getting cold and bundling her up. Last nights walk was incredible! Pat and I have been playing it "safe" and only going for about 25 minutes because we dont want to be too far away if she has a diva meltdown! Last night we decided to live dangerously and go for the normal walk we would take when she was in my belly. . . .about 3 miles! Pat thought I was nuts, but whats new?! She did fantastic!!!! I thought for sure that she would have her little peepers closed the entire time, but I couldnt have been more wrong. She was wide awake and taking everything in the entire walk. It reminded me (again) that she is getting bigger each day! She isnt the sleepy newborn that she once was. It is hard for me to swallow the fact that she is 7 weeks old already. Each and every day with her makes me love her more and more! That is the same way I feel about Pat . . . .every day I see him with her makes me fall in love with again. Life honestly cant get much better than this right now!

Here is Maddie with shout outs to her two favorite people, or so we would like to think!

I love mommy onesie!

I love daddy onesie!

We have a fun relaxing weekend planned so I am sure I will have plenty to write about in a few days!

Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Jamie

Dear Mom

Nobody's Like You, Mom
Nobody's quite like you, Mom.
You're special in every way.
You cheer me up, you fill my cup
With tenderness, come what may.
Nobody loves me like you, Mom.
No matter what I do,Good or bad, happy or sad,
You support me; You always come through.
Nobody's equal to you, Mom.
With you in my life, I'm blessed.
I love you so, and I want you to knowI think you're the very best!

Blessed . . . .

Hi -

Yesterday was a crazy Monday for me! Since we were gone all weekend I had plenty to get done around the house. I spent a majority of the morning cleaning, doing laundry, and of course playing with Maddie. After a short afternoon nap Maddie was still a tad cranky! So, I decided it was time for me to take a break from everything and sit down with my feet up and Maddie in my lap. . . .just in time for Oprah! The show was about unforgettable dads! As the show progressed I was happy to hear the stories of these wonderful men . . . .then the story about a dad named Matt started. I found myself getting that hard lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Matt's story made me hold my daughter tighter than ever before. Matt and his wife Liz were expecting their first child. . .a girl was born!! They named her Madeline Elizabeth . . . .as they were heading to the NICU to see her shortly after birth, Liz fell and died instantly of a blood clot. Matt was left to raise his precious daughter on his own. . . .This story hit way too close to home for me!

Pat walked into the house right as they finished with Matt's story. Of course I couldnt hide the emotions I was going through, but I am glad that I couldnt. After dinner, Pat and I sat and talked about how blessed we are to have such a beautiful daughter that makes our lives so worthwhile. As frustrated as we were with the failed induction the first time, we need to thank God that we were able to walk out of that hospital healthy and happy the second time. Watching that story really put a lot of things into perspective for me. There may be days I havent showered, brushed my teeth, or combed my hair. . . .but it is all worth it! I look at Maddie and feel an overwhelming sense of love. As Pat and I sat on the couch and talked last night, Maddie lay sound asleep rocking in her swing. We couldnt help but to check on her constantly last night!!

I tip my hat to Matt for sharing his story with the world and for raising his beautiful daughter on his own. Im glad that Maddie was a little cranky yesterday afternoon. . . .it forced me to sit down and hear Matt's story.

I am so fortunate to have such an amazing husband and beautiful daughter in my life, and I thank God for that each and every day!

Lots of Love. . . . .

Easter Weekend

Wow.....another crazy weekend for the Froh family! Pat had off on Friday so we decided to pack up and head to Horicon early. In honor of opening day, all 3 of us were decked out in our Brewer gear! Pat and I had to laugh as last years opening day was spent a little different! Early morning tailgating, beer, game, etc . . . .but I must admit, 2009's opening day meant so much more to me. Here is Maddie in one of SIX Brewer outfits she has!
The remainder of the weekend was spent celebrating Easter with our families. There were 5 different Easter bunnies that brought Miss Maddie treats! She is such a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love. Here are 2 of her Easter baskets. . . .compliments of the grandmas!

And of course the weekend wouldnt be complete without a picture of our favorite little easter bunny. . . .Madeline!

We had a great weekend as a family! All three of us crashed when we got home!

Until next time. . .

Dr Appt Update

Hey -

Well, Maddie and I each had Dr Appts today and we both got good reports! Maddie's appointment was first and I am happy to report that she does not have pink eye! We need to keep a close watch on her eye and if things stay the same, we will need to get an ointment for it. I couldnt believe it, but she has managed to hit 9lbs 4oz! I thought that my arm was starting to get sore quicker from holding her. It was a good appointment and we are so happy to hear that she doesnt have pink eye.
My appointment also went well! My OB told me to finish up the 4 injections I have at home, and then I am done with them until we decide to give Maddie a brother or sister. Since everything checked out well, I have been given the green light to return to normal activity!

That is all I have for now!
Take Care,
Jamie
