Tootsie's Update

Morning everyone!

Mom and Dad have been very busy over the past week so I decided I better update everyone with what has been going on!
Last week dad was gone for work and mom and I spent a lot of time relaxing and researching things on the internet for my arrival! We did get a night out on Wednesday with some of mom's friends dating back to elementary school! (I sure hope I can find friends like that someday) We went to this place with lots of loud music. At first I didnt know what to think, but then I figured it was ok to dance since mom was! My first concert. . . .New Kids on the Block! :)
The next night dad came home and we spent the night on the couch doing nothing! (Mom was sure happy) But dad had these bumps on his arm called poison ivy so he couldnt really touch me or feel me kick because mom wouldnt let him!
Over the weekend we were on the go quite a bit! Friday we had dinner with friends which was yummy - I sure like Italian food! Saturday mom and dad took me to another place with loud music. . . .their friends Amy and Jason got married! Sunday was a long day! Shopping with my parents can turn into a long day! I dont know why, but they are getting rather picky with what they buy for me. They have looked at about 100 cribs and still have yet to find the perfect one for me. And for all of you that know my parents well, we know mom can be picky. . . . .but dad is worse than mom!!! I am sure that we will be looking for more stuff for me next weekend.
I am getting bigger and bigger each day and love to move around in mom's belly. Dad thinks that I have quite the ninja kick. . . .wait till he gets to see it in person in a few short months!
I think that is all we know for now. Mom and I are going to read and relax the next few nights while dad is out of town.

4 months until I can meet all of you!

Love,
Tootsie

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a weekend. We have been on the run since Friday Morning. We finally got home from the craziness that was going on only to get ready for more craziness. We ran some errands and then started to carve the family pumpkins.

By the time we got done carving pumpkins Jamie could barely keep her head up. We started to get ready for bed. We were both just dragging ourselves to the bed. I started to rub Jamie’s head so she could fall asleep right away. As I started to hear her fall asleep I slowly started to fall asleep myself.

Just when we were both about to hit the dream world “WAKE UP!!” Jamie yells. I flew up quickly and asked what’s wrong? “I think I felt the baby kick” she says excitedly. My first reaction is excitement as well then I ask the big question…… are you sure its not just gas?

She wasn’t sure. So she moved into a new position and put her hand on her tummy! THERE IT GOES AGAIN! So now I am excited too. I want to try. I put my hand on her stomach. There it goes we both said. Little Tootsie was kicking or practicing more flips because there was a lot of little movements going on. Each time we would make sure it was in the same area she felt it on the inside that I felt it on the outside. Boy o boy! We were so dang excited that it took us even longer to get to sleep but it was awesome to feel our first baby movement together.

We will let you all know what we feel or see next~

Baby-O-Latern

So I was day dreaming one day and came up with this idea of Jamie and I carving pumpkins like we normally do. However, we would carve them this year to represent us. So as you can see below the baby pumpkin is inside Mommy's belly. Both Mom and Dad have smiles on their faces and Tootsie does too!

This is what it looks like in the dark! What a Happy Family!

Tootsie's Feet

During my "photo shoot" today, I decided to have a little fun and show off my big feet! Mom and Dad both had to laugh when they saw my feet on the screen . . . . . .they think I take after Aunt Kari! :) But, I do remember Aunt Kari saying that big feet are good for balance, I have to agree!

19 WEEK ULTRASOUND

Here I am for my latest picture. I posed nice and pretty for the camera until my Mom told the ultrasound tech that I was a very cooperative child. He he he he.... little did she know that once I heard that I started to play hide and seek and show off with my summersaults. I am very good at summersaults.
Soon Mom is going to feel my kartwheels and summersaults because this month I will grow a lot. This is the last month that I will be weighed in ounces. I am excited to get bigger.
As you can see the Specialist had fun with my picture and put a message on there. I also was a little naughty and flashed the doctors my private parts. So they all know what I am and no one else does. I heard Mom groan. I know she wants to know what I am going to be but I will surprise her when I show up in February.
Tah tah for now!

Excited Papa To Be

Hi everyone!

Well, Pat has been the webmaster in regards to our blog, but I have figured out how to navigate on here now and can write updates whenever I want! (Look out!)

We are almost to the halfway point and I couldnt be happier. (19 weeks this Friday) I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many family and friends during this exciting adventure! I have always known that I married an amazing man, but this pregnancy has brought out a side of him that is hard to put into words. If it were possible, he would build a bubble to put me and the baby in. Our needs and wants come first, and he makes sure that he does everything he can to keep us safe and comfortable. Since I can be such a stubborn person, we tend to butt heads sometimes on who is going to clean or cook because he just wants me to sit on the couch and not move! :)

Each and every night we lay on the couch or in bed and Pat reads our baby book to me. Sometimes I wonder if he knows more than I do now since I fall asleep so quickly! Quite often I lay there thinking to myself how blessed I am to have a husband that is so wonderful. All and all . . .I couldnt be happier right now. I would be here all day if I continued to explain what he has all done for me.

With that being said, I have a few "shout-outs"
**Jim & Cindy - Thank you for raising such a loving man, he continues to add joy to my life each and every day!

**Mom & Dad - Your daughter and grandchild are in good hands with Pat!

**Pat - You are going to be shocked when you stumble across this post. Mostly because I figured out how to do it on my own, but also that I spilled the beans on how wondeful you are! I can't say it enough, THANK YOU for all that you do. I love you very much!

SHOPPING!

"Holy Cow did you swallow a watermelon?" As it echoed through the Maternity store Jamie looked over to see her Dad laughing and walking towards her. "NO!" Jamie said back to him. "ITS A PILLOW they have to help you shop for maternity clothes so you know what you will look like when you have a big belly." This was the first look that Jamie, her parents, and I all got of what to expect as Tootsie starts to grow in Mommy’s belly.

We spent the whole weekend relaxing and then shopping for what’s to come. That is what we seem to be doing lately is planning, shopping, reading, and praying for what’s to come. We are going in for our next check up soon and will be able to update everyone on how awesome Mom and Tootsie are doing. Until next time…
